My name is Drew Lazor. I’m a freelance journalist and copywriter based in Philadelphia. I do most of my work in food and drink, though I also dabble in music, film and web/tech. From 2006 to 2012, I worked at Philadelphia City Paper, most notably in an Associate Editor role handling food coverage, web editorial and social media. In 2008, I founded the food/drink blog Meal Ticket.

I’m a 2006 graduate of La Salle University. I’ve appeared on Food Network, Cooking Channel and Travel Channel and have radio experience with WXPN and WHAT. Writing honors include First Place in the “Food Writing” category of the 2011 AltWeekly Awards; First Place in the “Best Newspaper Food Feature” category of the 2013 Association of Food Journalists Awards; and First Place in the “Outstanding Arts Journalism” category of the 2013 Pen & Pencil Club Philadelphia News Awards.

Below is a selection of my stories from various outlets. See the movie log for film review clips. See Flickr and Instagram for photos. You can reach me at
